My kids are 7 and 9 years old and especially my 7 year old toothpaste cap is always a mess. Sticky mess covered in toothpaste. And it is difficult to clean because water can easily penetrate the toothpaste. They really solve this problem. Not only do kids not have to fiddle with toothpaste caps, it also makes it a lot harder (I have to say, they must be on purpose) to stick their toothbrushes back on. And while the caps aren't entirely clean, they wash off very easily once you've applied them, and you don't have to worry about water getting into your toothpaste. I actually find these claims impressive.
