mmm How eco-friendly is it?

Hm how is it eco friendly? Single-use plastic toothbrush, in plastic case, with non-rechargeable batteries, and the toothbrush must be disposed of as electronic waste due to electronic parts. If ever there was a definition of NOT an eco-friendly option, this is it. Just because it says it in the product description doesn't make it true, but I digress. We were looking for electric toothbrushes for hiking/travelling and found them through the Vine program. They were soft enough for my kids. The internal timer works well so kids know how long to brush their teeth. They have soft bristles and work pretty well. The "case" for them is a tube with very small holes that doesn't provide enough airflow to actually dry the toothbrushes. It's no shock as I've never come across a travel toothbrush that she made in a case that both protects and allows her to dry. The cost of the $9 disposable brush where you can't replace the brush heads is really expensive. I recommend paying a few bucks more and getting a slightly eco-friendly brush with interchangeable heads. Does it work in general? Yes. However, the cost and non-environmental nature make me hesitant to recommend it as an option.

Pros
  • rechargeable battery, built-in 2 PCS high capacity rechargeable batteries. Can't change toothbrush head, can't be charged, but can be used 2 or 3 times a day for 90 days.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
