I have only used one of them so far. I wanted to put two or three in my pantry as there is no light at all. Installs directly in the door frame at the top of the pantry. Tested in total darkness. When you open the door, the LED will light up before fully opening the door. It's bright enough on its own that I don't have to install the other two. The LED turns off after less than 30 seconds if the sensor does not detect any movement. Also, it won't turn on while driving if it already detects enough ambient light. Not sure how long the 4 AAA batteries will last, but I would expect them to last quite a while with normal use. The magnetic stripe is strong and the double-sided tape sticks well too. The only problem is that the battery cover is a little choppy at the end, just take it and you'll be fine.
