Review on Giveet Wireless Headphones Bluetooth Transmitter by Ross Decoteau

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Finally my husband stopped complaining!

My husband is a light sleeper and gets up early for work, so we struggled to turn up the volume on the TV every night. I don't have the best hearing either, which makes matters worse. These headphones have played a huge part - both in controversy and because it always seemed to me like people were mumbling on TV! They work well and the sound is pretty good (I'm not a music lover and only watch TV before bed so I'm not too picky). They usually stay in my ears and I find the neckband comfortable. The earpiece sits in your ear (creating a slight occlusion) so the person next to you can't hear it. The battery life of the wireless headphones seems good, but I plug them in almost every day and listen for about an hour every night. Here are a few downsides: - Lying on your side or covering the headphones with a blanket can create static electricity. There is no overwhelming static problem, but it is possible. This can be avoided by lying on your back and facing forward. Setup is relatively easy, but my TV doesn't have the necessary audio outputs on the back. Luckily I was able to find these sockets on the cable box and everything worked without any problems. On the plus side, my TV has a USB port so I can leave it plugged in and charge. The first pair I ordered had a major static issue that would have happened had I even encountered the headphone cord. I swapped them out for another pair and the problem is almost gone (see above). Despite these shortcomings, I am very satisfied with this product, especially for the price I paid.

Pros
  • Headphones
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly
