I picked this up to provide shade to my 2nd floor balcony. I found I needed more mounting points due to the length of sun shade I bought (12’). I then used a combination of additional turnbuckles, zip ties, pad eyes, carabiners, and a bungy cord variety set I got at my local Walmart.I’ve had a seriously strong wind storm since installing it, with no issues. These are a good idea in theory, but really do not stand up. My space is 18x14 and I even reinforced it with wire. First storm ripped it off the flimsy corners. Do not buy.

It seems resistant enough for strong winds, I tied up each ring to the wall and to the screen structure leaving a slope for the water to slide and tensed enough to be firm. I will purchase a second piece for the other side.

We bought this for a 16x 16 pérgola as a shade. After almost 4 months of owning it, it leaks. The first 2 weeks we noticed it dripping and realized we didn’t have it on an incline. We inclined it and it still leaks. It also didn’t come with any instructions. I wouldn’t go with this company. You will be wasting $200. I will look elsewhere for a better product.

The sunshade is well made but the picture shows grommets all along the edges but the one I received only had 4 total - 1 one on each side so I'm returning it.

I tried this for a carport cover for my car. Did not hold up in our Arizona winds. We ended up giving to a neighbor after he let us borrow his tractor to put up and actual carport. I spent a lot of money for something that was only up about a week.

Purchased 14x15 for pergola cover. Pulled it taught and secured with screws and a large washers to cover grommet, underside and top. Installed late February 2022. Here in El Paso, it did not last our heat and high winds, spit down the middle in about 3 months.

Fabric is heavy-duty and was 100% waterproof for a year. Perhaps with placing an additional protectant you could expect a longer life.

So I bought a 14' x 22' to use as a canopy. I built my frame out of 1" EMT. I was very concerned about it working as I only have a 12 degree pitch to work with. It ended up working well except for getting it taught at the bottom (fascia in my case). The 4 corners you can put some serious tension on, but the grommets tear very easily.
