Our little one loves Elmo so we bought these socks. We've only washed them once so far. We will let you know about the quality and durability after she wears it and we will try to wash it again. 5 seconds after putting these socks on, she slipped and fell. (We have hardwood floors.) If the company made these socks with handles on the bottom, I would buy them again. If your child occasionally wears them barefoot and you don't have a carpeted floor for them to slide on, then I would recommend a different pair of socks with elastic bands (I believe this particular seller sells other socks with elastic soles). .Update from 02/21/20: They wash themselves well. Keep their color and shape. I don't recommend hardwood floors though, because literally EVERY install will cause the poor guy to slip and fall within seconds. It's not worth it. Update 25/12/20: It's been a weird year at best and thanks to the coronavirus and lockdown it's been a terribly horrible year for many. I managed to put some Tulip PUFFY fabric color (not shiny) on the bottom of these socks. (There are some DIY videos on YouTube for adding stockings to socks. Make sure they are completely dry before putting socks on.) It helped a little by providing some support, but I still wish they would also be offered with a hook option.
