Purchased for connector pin and spare blade. Bought a pack to have extra spares. The blades were not as heavy as the original Oster brand blades. When I first replaced the signature blade, the worn bolt quickly ripped off the new blade. That's when I discovered the problem was with the bolt, not the blade. It was fun learning how to change the hairpin from various U-Tube videos. Have used it about 1/2 dozen times and it seems to be working fine. yes i recommend If this pen lasts like the original (10+ years) and the blades wear out, I'll look for an original blade first. If they hold up I should have given 5 stars.
