It's like a hole in the wall of a restaurant where the food is far better than the more expensive and popular chain restaurants. I have had many toning balms from well known brands. This great value blackberry from Nivea is either as good as most or better. It's a gorgeous plum-berry hue that's actually quite pigmented for a tinted balm. The color is retained even after the moisture has evaporated. Moisture and color stay on me for a long time. Much longer than usual tinting balms. The formula is highly moisturizing, non-waxy and non-greasy. Leaves a pleasant shine without color streaks. I apply about 3-4 coats because that's what I do with my lip balms. The scent is seductive and pleasant! There's no flavor, but that's okay. The main reason I buy toning balms is for the combination of moisture and color. It's also nice to note that it contains blackberry, strawberry, and raspberry fruit juice. No wonder it smells so good!
