Absolutely normal! for fish and aquatic animals
Very good product! The size is good and fits perfectly in a 10 gallon tank! Please note that it comes with a base (sponge) and a tube (as shown in the picture) only. An air pump must be purchased separately. It releases a lot of oxygen and bubbles. You and your fish should be happy with this product :) I also used it on my mud pup (tiger salamander in larval form) and it worked great on him. I also recommend this filter for baby fish or axolotl/mud pups as it is gentle and not too coarse (makes life easier for the animal). Hope that helps!
