Everyone seems to like this light, but don't count me as a fan. First, as many have pointed out, there were no instructions (that I could find) on how to set up or use this light. Luckily I'm pretty handy and assembled everything in less than 10 minutes. However, there are things I cannot understand. There seems to be a place for a battery on the back, but no explanation as to what that place is or where to find one. The light intensity switch is awful and doesn't work very well, often switching from mode to mode at the slightest press making changing the light intensity or brightness extremely frustrating. I can't really explain what I mean, except that you have to press the knob to change the mode and then turn the knob to change the brightness or intensity. However, the adjustment knob doesn't rotate smoothly and constantly jumps between modes, meaning you have to keep trying to get the settings you want. tip over, especially when at maximum height or holding a phone. The phone holder barely fits in my iPhone 11 (in the case) and the phone pops out of the holder with very little to no pressure when the clamp is moved. When the phone is in the clamp I can't even move it to a different position without it popping out of the holder. On the plus side, the main lighting mode is fine. I use it for photography and my daughter uses it as a light for her drafting table. And yet the shortcomings do not compensate for the shortcomings. I wouldn't buy it as there are many, many better alternatives. This is a cheap product and I would definitely not buy it again.
