A staple of my travel gear. Also use on a toothbrush. Highly recommended. I like that there is no built-in battery. It's much easier to use four AA batteries - more convenient than a mini USB cable as a power source. TIP: Any generic mini USB to regular USB will supply 5V @ 1W to this device, works well. The manufacturer could have said more about this. The tiny manual only says the lamp is rated at 3W, but doesn't specify the input voltage best to use. I'm not sure what happens when the USB power supply goes above 5V. Any microelectronics experts with an answer? Ultraviolet rays remain the safest non-chemical method of killing germs.
