Osprey is a good pack and this one is no exception. This is definitely a man's size and quite large. It's huge and I think you could take everything you need for a multi-week hike - just remember you have to carry it. Everything is well padded and like all Osprey packs, well balanced with ample room for real use. There's room for a hydration pack, there's a carry pouch so you can check it in with your luggage, and all the straps are easy to stretch and adjust. The waistbelt has pockets in front of the zipper (don't know why anyone would ever put small pockets without a zipper) but nothing to worry about here. The pack lays flat and opens out so you have plenty of room to pack, plus straps and buckles for everything. This is a premium, well constructed, well planned backpack. Highly recommended. I'm going to see if there's anything comparable for a woman. This pack is good enough to need a trip.
