I was very excited to finally try them on today. There wasn't even anything extreme or active outdoors - just a day at the pool. About two hours later I discovered a large hole in my right shoe. I could clearly see my (fourth?) toe. At first I thought it might be my toenail, but not only are they clipped, the hole is below the ankle. To my surprise, there is also a hole on the left boot, almost in the same place as my right boot, but it's much smaller and less noticeable. Maybe over time it will get worse and open up. I'm wondering if soft knit fabric tears easily even with normal movement? I can still wear these shoes, but it is a pity that after the first use they have defects (although they do not affect the functionality and usefulness of the shoe). Aside from that, they look great and offer more protection than regular thin water boots. The outsole looks like it can handle rough terrain, but you'll likely feel every rock given how thin it is. But for light outdoor activities it is enough. Maybe I'm just unlucky.
