Review on humangear capCap for Parents by Arturo Reyes

This is a good cap and a great idea and I liked it for the first few months but in the last few weeks it has started to leak. At first I thought it was because water got into the lid when filling, but I've since ruled that out through extensive testing. No matter what I do, no matter how careful I am when filling and no matter how tightly I screw the cap on, when I go out for a drink, water leaks out of the seal and floods my shirt. Sometimes it's just a few drops and sometimes almost a teaspoon of water. That's a problem because I mostly drink mine on my desk next to my laptop and schoolwork, so dripping water all over my notes and electronics throughout the day is unacceptable. I've never taken it on a hike, thrown it away or even put it in the dishwasher, just standing upright and washing it with warm tap water. So it hasn't been abused, overheated or anything like that. Wipe thoroughly after filling, turn upside down and shake vigorously until it stops dripping seems to help, but after a while it spontaneously starts dripping again. The leak always seems to come from one side, so it looks like a bad seal, but since everything rotates when you open and close the lid, isolating it from just one side and avoiding from to drink this side. If it wasn't leaking I'd give it five stars otherwise it's fantastic. A really annoying disappointment.
