This model is well-designed and fun for the kids. We bought this to replace a previous Doodle Pro version that we used heavily for about 5 years until one of the kids stepped on it once too many. The old model had a smaller single-color "screen" (drawing area), and the shape accessories snapped in. After time, the shape accessories just began falling out if you turned the drawing board upside-down, and they became easy to lose.We loved the old model, but this one is even better. The colors on the "screen" make it so much more fun for the kids (if that was possible), and the shape accessories adhere with magnets -- so no falling out. We use these boards heavily, for free play, as well as for manuscript writing practice in the kinder years.
