This thing is worth it!

I had a hard time deciding whether to give this review 4 or 5 stars. The cover is very beautiful and met my expectations! The magnets are excellent and don't weigh down the case like I suspected. In fact, the case is surprisingly light and still offers quite good protection for the iPad. I particularly like that there is a raised border around the screen so that when the lid is closed the screen is fully enclosed and protected. This also means that there is only one position from which the lid can be easily opened. I love how stable the iPad's magnets are at different angles. It's pretty easy to tap at one or more of the lower positions on the screen. One disappointment from my previous iPad case was that it was very fragile when it came out. If I tried to look at something on my lap, the iPad would inevitably tip over. This one won't! It seems that the iPad is equally stable in all positions. The case looks and feels good, and like I said, it's very light and not bulky at all. The magnetic stand sits relatively flush with the back of the case and is held in place by magnets. A comment in some other reviews concerns the fragility of the cutouts. I'm not too concerned about that. The case flexes a bit more around the volume buttons and power button, but still feels very solid and unlikely to break anytime soon. The pencil case is also very secure, but I'm still a bit nervous about how exposed the tip of the pencil feels. As great as the case is, there are two things I'm not happy with. First, I don't like that the inside of the lid is the part that sits on a table or other surface. My concern is that abrasive particles can stick to it and then (over time) damage the screen. Second, it's not very conducive to behavior. The lid flips up nicely, but it would be nice if it was held in place somehow. It slides back and forth a little even when the pen is not in the case. The case is fine if the iPad is always in a horizontal position, but not the best if you're trying to read something vertically (although I have to admit I haven't done that much yet). Overall this is a great case for the price and I am happy with my purchase!
