These are very soft and cozy, and should keep my ankles warm this winter. I wear a size 10 in women's, so I bought the 9-10, and they 'just' fit. If they were any smaller, even the tiniest bit, I don't think they would fit. I would say they mostly run true to size, just a tiny bit smaller than expected. However, they do feel like they will stretch out, and the package insert states they will, so I wouldn't think it will be an issue down the road. I'm very happy with them so far.
