For clarification this is a filter pack, not a mask and not a battery pack. Filters have a very long service life. Industrial users, it will take a long time to go through these many filters. I use it for private purposes for home use. This is a general purpose HEPA filter which is great for sawdust from woodworking or sanding and I even use it to mow grass as I have severe allergies it works much better than a cloth mask or half face respirator , as it filters the air you breathe. but also protects your eyes and helps you cool down a bit. I've had a PAPR for about 8 years, I estimate I use it about 4 hours a week for gardening and DIY jobs. I only use the 3rd filter. Although not recommended at 3m, you can usually turn them upside down (from the air intake side) and shake off dust and particles, or gently blow in the opposite direction (from the exhaust end) to clean them out and get some extra life.
