UPDATE: Cable Matters wrote to me after this review was posted. They read my comments, reminded me of the lifetime warranty, and sent me a replacement plug. Time will tell on the new connectors, but an unexpected call from the company changed my mind. This is a wonderful service. Many Thanks. Used the plug to free up space behind the subwoofer. OK, within 6 months. For some reason a connector in the subwoofer connection came loose, causing a ground hum.
