I've built all of my cabinets/drawers and doors out of 3/4" plywood and MDF. They were easy to install and can support significant weight. smooth. If you use 3/4" Using inch material be it MDF or plywood, do yourself a favor and get these screws, they tighten very well without stripping the material (I used them by hand/screwdriver).
