Review on Neewer Photo Video Studio Kit Carrying Bag with Extra Side Pocket for Light Stands, Boom Stands, Umbrellas - 39x10x10 Inches by Robert Espinoza

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The package arrived in two days (THANK YOU PREMIER) and the size and build quality were perfect. I'm always nervous when I buy any products from.

I was looking for an equipment bag for my Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 aluminum tripod, a Manfrotto 502 video head, Rode VideoMic video microphones, two tripods and some NEEWER lamps. This bag definitely ran a size, but I was concerned about the build quality and padding. The package arrived in two days (THANK YOU PREMIER) and the size and build quality were perfect. I'm always nervous when I buy products with zippers because sometimes buying online means that you get a broken zipper and a return shipping nightmare. This bag is not one of those bags - I experienced this myself and wore it for a while in all conditions. No problem. At first I was concerned about the stability of this bag - it's so big and so long - would this thing curl up and crush all my gear? But no problem at the moment. No creases and the straps on either side of the center pocket add stability without crushing the very valuable contents of my pocket. The only thing that bothers me about this bag (hence the four stars) is the amount of padding. Now I'm pretty paranoid. Man when it comes to protecting my photography gear so I went even further with this particular bag. I would love to see MORE padding in a bag that big, so my loving wife crocheted little bags inside for my tripods/gear. I also have a couple of lenses stowed on one side of the bag in a smaller case that fits nicely alongside all the tripods and other gear. If I can convince my wife that I need more photo gear, I'll probably buy another one.

Pros
  • NOTE: Empty carry case ONLY. The light stand in the picture is NOT included.
Cons
  • Out of fashion
