This sponge is soft I agree but honestly it's too soft to have exfoliating value. Also (more annoyingly) it's literally falling apart and I've had it for about 2 weeks now. I know it says "natural" but all I can say is that I have purchased natural sea sponges elsewhere in Florida which are going out of business this December (2019) much to my dismay. So when I was trying to find another source for good bath sponges I tried this company and was disappointed with this sponge. I thoroughly wash all the soap off the sponge every time and it dries on a hanger so I think I take good care of it. The sponges I got from elsewhere literally lasted for years. I will continue to look for a suitable replacement. I wouldn't recommend this sponge unless you plan to use it for a specific project/cleaning and then throw it away.
