Review on Immerse in Acer SBMIIPX Freesync Overclock Speakers: 1920X1080, 165Hz, Wide Screen HD Experience (UM.FX1AA.S01) by Mark Newton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent screen at a fair price ($199 retail price)

I've known Acer products for their quality since the days of CRT screens and 486 processors. I bought this KG271U (random letters) screen mainly because it fits my old KG271 (no extra letters). I love the durability and build quality of the KG range. In terms of gaming, higher resolution at a high refresh rate has actually boosted frame rates significantly when running 1440p at the advertised 144Hz. My previous screen limited frame rates in games to 1080p 75Hz. This makes the games much more enjoyable. No unexpected headaches or significant discomfort.

Pros
  • Works perfectly. The quality is as good as you can get with 1080p.
Cons
  • At my brightness of 100% it's still so dark
