Review on 🐱 Optimized Dr. Elsey's Cat Food by Dawn Burg

I have done sooooo much more research into cat nutrition than I would admit outside of an anonymous forum. I spent more time studying cat food than all my college courses combined - I went DEEP into the cat food rabbit hole. Not only have I found that there is no clear nutritional labeling on cat food, but that many veterinarians know next to nothing about the nutritional value of the different brands (many insist that the sales rep of the store brands they sell recommend for certain conditions). *Again, I'm not singled out for veterinarians. Most medical professionals are not nutritionists, and neither should they (or veterinarians) be. After careful research I found that this is the ONLY dry food on the market that has the correct macronutrients (specifically the protein to carb ratio). for diabetic cats - this includes "prescription" diabetic products, most of which are junk. Diabetic cats (probably all cats) should be restricted to wet food only; No dry food will ever have the optimal protein/fat/carbohydrate ratio like wet food. That being said, there are always some prima donna cats who are such dubbed assholes that they only eat dry food. I live with one of those eponymous jerks, which prompted me to investigate further. The thing is very expensive and smells like the abysses of Hades, but all cats eat it without complaining. Plus, it's such a high-calorie food that you'll be feeding your cats much, much less than other brands that contain fillers, so don't let the price put you off.
