Really high protein - probably too much

My cats really liked this food and I really liked that it has a lot of protein and no other fillers like fruit and veg (which cats don't need at all). However, after a month my cats started having soft poo every day. I thought it might be the food so I changed her food and the diarrhea stopped immediately. Unfortunately, I can no longer feed them this food. High protein can be too much. Also, it's a really high price, so overall I can't recommend this product based on my experience.

Great food, worth the price

Some people may think this food is expensive, but I'm actually saving money by buying specialty items that didn't even work and smelled awful. And thrown several times a month. I like that the feed pellets are very small, the list of ingredients is very short and there really is no bullshit in the feed. Despite being a kibble, it is very low in carbohydrates, high in protein and slightly more hydrated than almost all other kibbles. Also, I now feed my cat even less because these little pelletsโ€ฆ

Best Food for Cats with Diabetes

I have done sooooo much more research into cat nutrition than I would admit outside of an anonymous forum. I spent more time studying cat food than all my college courses combined - I went DEEP into the cat food rabbit hole. Not only have I found that there is no clear nutritional labeling on cat food, but that many veterinarians know next to nothing about the nutritional value of the different brands (many insist that the sales rep of the store brands they sell recommend for certainโ€ฆ

Hands down the best naturally balanced cat food on the market today.

The first thing you need to know about cat food is that cats are 'obligatory' carnivores - meaning that their diet consists almost entirely of meat. Cats do not naturally eat corn, brown rice, beans, lentils, peas, blueberries or potatoes. At least I've never heard of them unless you feed these things in cat food. They eat small rodents, birds and anything else they can catch consisting of protein, water and fat. Here's what I love about this cat food: 1. If you look at the ingredients you'llโ€ฆ

Expensive. Not only is it worth it, it offsets the cost.

We just adopted 3 kittens who were on the Blue Bison when they came to us. Her poor gut never stabilized (and BB just ain't what it was years ago). Lots of super stinky diarrhea that *almost* gets better and then turns back to a watery mess. We've tried ALL the super premium products with big names; from large to sublimated. All three couldn't agree on a brand to which I tried to switch. ). I found that dr. Elsey's is ranked as one of the best in the cat food database. I personally think thisโ€ฆ
