Review on Nite Ize SpokeLit: Light up your Ride for Safe Night Cycling by Dave Hammon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I had to buy 1 color version.

I like the concept but I don't like the disco version (which uses a multi-color LED) which constantly changes its 4 colors when set to 'always on'. I thought I could leave any color. but it cycles through them all unless you set it to blink. When the flash is on, it only flashes red with no other color options. (exactly the opposite of what I thought it would work). I almost wrapped it under the seat for a rear flasher, but I already had red LED lights (with multiple turn signal options). This flashlight uses 2 AA batteries (which I change once a year) so this device is back in the spokes of my spare wheel with its short battery life. . .If you get one of these, a single block of color can make the job more logical. I haven't solved the short battery life problem yet, but the CR2o16 battery is the same size as the CR2025 battery used in older computer cases. Both are easy to find in inexpensive bulk packs. I ended up getting a pair of these in the same color. Due to the short battery life, I only use it when needed. but they work really well.

Pros

Cons
