Review on 🎧 Arama Phone Headset with Mic, Noise Cancelling, Mute Switch - Ideal for Panasonic AT&T ML17929 Vtech Cisco Grandstream Home Office Cordless DECT Phones by Jeff Swan

Great headset at a great price with great mic/headphone quality, if a bit average.

This is a replacement for an old pair (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FKD16YV) where the microphone died. I didn't like the foam padding so I removed the old leather pads and they match these perfectly. The boom is semi-flexible and has limited reach, but generally must stay in the bend, but no foam cover is provided; This is important given the limited range of the boom and the sensitivity of the microphone. You don't want it to take your breath away (I reused the case from my old headset). I specifically chose this model as there is a cable that is flexible enough and while I appreciate the combination of mic volume and mute (I particularly like that there is a physical on/off switch and not one button to hold mute”), the module is just a little heavy and clunky and pulls a bit on the cord. The quality of the microphone is excellent, the noise cancellation seems to work very well, as in the test I simulated street noise and cafe noise quite loudly in the background, but the person I called said they didn't hear any noise (other than the original ones car horns). The headset delivers decent sound quality, but is tuned to a central midrange that makes some voices sound a bit nasal. It definitely takes some getting used to compared to my old typeface (), which I found a little more balanced (flat tonal range). in the long run (disappointed that my last one lasted less than two years).

Pros
  • BUILT TO LAST: 2.5mm flexible metal tube headset with positioning accuracy. You can even pull or bend the headband for a custom, optimal fit.
Cons
  • weak

The mouthpiece moves often. So have to adjust alot so people can hear me. Otherwise good headset.
