This jacket is very light, attractive and durable. This is my first down and feather jacket that I own and I am very happy with my purchase. This jacket feels and looks very high quality. Living in a warm climate, I had no choice but to search online for a suitable winter jacket. I wear the jacket almost daily during my recent winter trip to Europe and I can honestly say I'm glad I didn't buy anything other than this jacket made me feel comfortable! I'm a size 10/12 AUS (162cm, 60kg) and the medium size seemed perfectly warm and comfortable to me. The sleeves are just right and the coat is long enough to cover the top half of my butt which is what I was looking for. The tapered back and quilted pattern give the jacket a fitted look while still leaving enough room for a tank top, t-shirt and light windbreaker to wear underneath without looking like a bloated marshmallow. I felt warm in this jacket. on Mount Titlis (-12.3°C) in Engelberg and dry off with a walk through the rainy streets of Venice. It is important to note that this jacket is not waterproof, it is only water repellent. If you are planning on running in the rain for any length of time, I would recommend wearing a suitable raincoat over it. However, during short bursts of rain the jacket kept me warm and dry and I found that the jacket itself dries very quickly once hung up. The fleece-lined neckline and welt pockets were soft and warm. For me, the zippered hip pockets were a very useful feature, as they allowed me to safely stash essentials like my iPhone, passport, tickets, etc. as I walked the streets of Europe without fear of being robbed. The jacket is in the description. machine washable and tumble dry, I have washed and dried the jacket twice with no issues with feathers cracking, shrinking, melting or sticking together. During warmer conditions during my trip, the jacket was balled up and stowed in the bus overhead compartment without any creases. The easy washability and storage of this jacket is a big plus! A few negatives I have to say about this jacket is that the hood is too big and it fell off before my eyes every time I put it on. I also had an issue with some down sticking out of the seams and the zipper on the pockets snagging on the fabric causing me to struggle to get to the zipper multiple times. All in all this jacket is fantastic! With joy and confidence I will recommend to friends.
