These connectors will work as described when assembled correctly. Literally the first five I took out of the box had issues where the contacts were either misaligned or just not seated at all. There were a total of eight out of twenty that needed reworking to be functional (that's a nearly 50% drop rate, which I think is pretty poor quality control). Luckily, it's not difficult to fix this. Just pull or pry them (they pull apart easily, but this can damage the plastic connectors so you can use a small screwdriver to pull them apart inside) and reassemble, making sure the wires line up, allowing for each slot has a wire. To be clear, they work and work well, but the seemingly moderate possibility of bugs requiring the customer to remake them to make them usable is unacceptable to me. Even if the rework isn't a big problem, the client doesn't buy it to go through and fix half the details. Process.
