When inserting RJ45 plugs into this plug it wants to pop out a bit and saps my confidence that this plug will do what it is supposed to do. I have to check every line to make sure the connection is holding and SOMETIMES it isn't. I wouldn't buy those cheap plugs.

This is complete rubbish. When you insert an RJ-45 connector, it will pop back out causing the pins to lose contact. If you have a connection, it's probably so bad that your hardware is auto-negotiating at a much slower speed than it can. I tried connecting two cables and my hardware negotiated 10 or 100 Mbps instead of 1 Gbps. Instead, I opted for a replacement Keystone connector and, voila, 1 Gbps. Avoid them at all costs. Spend a few bucks more and get something that works.

These connectors will work as described when assembled correctly. Literally the first five I took out of the box had issues where the contacts were either misaligned or just not seated at all. There were a total of eight out of twenty that needed reworking to be functional (that's a nearly 50% drop rate, which I think is pretty poor quality control).
