A good buy only provides 5 1/2 inches of clearance on the bottom
It took me a while to figure out the assembly illustrations (no verbal instructions) but I figured it out. There is a wrench for the screws, but it is better to take a screwdriver for the Phillips screws. The only downside to this stand is that there is no way to adjust the height of a 55" TV, it only offers 5 1/2" of ground clearance. I wanted double the size to fit my surround system speakers etc. In this room but for what it's worth I managed to hang the TV on a stand but it would be easier if I had another person to pick up the TV.
