Review on Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube: Interactive Musical Toy for Infants and Toddlers by Mark Erandio

I don't usually spend time reviewing products but this product has an excellent value for money that is worth telling people about. My grandson loved it from day one. This keeps him entertained for a long time (for an 8 month old baby!) and also helps him develop motor skills to move the ball in the desired direction and press the buttons. Best of all, the music is beautifully performed for an adult to listen to over and over again. Notably, it's very well made (with one exception - the packaging, see note below - for which I deducted a star). The cube's rounded edges help him roll, but the mostly flat sides prevent him from rolling, allowing him to control it. He has focused on tuning the "orchestra" and already knows that this is the only "knob" that changes the melody. He keeps pressing it to switch music, and the button holds up well to overuse. It can't differentiate between tools yet, so it doesn't use the other buttons yet, but I expect that will change over time. He loves it when the music is playing and will come right back to it as soon as the music stops to restart it. PACKAGING NOTE: Be very careful when removing the cube from the box. The plastic tie that attaches the ball to the box is looped behind one of the buttons (piano). The first Mozart Cube we bought was instantly damaged by simply removing the packaging - the piano button didn't work. But the replacement product was fine as I was aware of the problem and very carefully removed that plastic strap. Note that the exchange process was EXCELLENT. I received a replacement package 2 days after requesting an exchange and I have not even returned the damaged one. They also offer a 90-day return policy - a big plus for a kid's toy. I would highly recommend for children 7 months and up!
