The best martingale collar! (Read to learn how to use it properly)

This martingale collar is great. I would enthusiastically recommend this to any dog owner who understands what a martingale collar is and how to use one. I read some reviews from people who were surprised that it didn't have a buckle or that their dogs got scared when the collar got too tight for them and the owner couldn't take the collar off the panicked dog so they had to cut it out. . All of this is due to misuse and misunderstanding of how this collar works. I have found Blueberry martingale collars to be very adjustable. I bought a small one for my 9 week old poodle puppy and we use him every day for walks on the leash and now at 14 weeks he is still in perfect condition and has survived rain, snow and washes. The right fit for a martingale is one that you can loosen to slip easily over your dog's head. Once you've fitted the collar to your dog, it should fit so that when you pull it on (by pulling on the D-ring loop) two adjacent D-rings snap together and *almost* touch. The advantage of using this collar over a traditional buckle collar is that there is no pressure on the trachea (throat) when the dog is pulling, which could cause injury to your dog. Rather, the martingale distributes the pressure exerted by the pulling dog and directs it from the front of the dog's throat to the nape of the neck. Therefore, when used CORRECTLY, this collar may be the safest way to teach dogs to walk on a leash. Just don't put any dog tags on her - she is only to be walked on a leash. If you know your dog doesn't like you putting the collar on, or you're not sure you can get him to wait patiently for you to adjust the collar, you could be in a dangerous situation. Please see photos or videos on how to properly use these collars to avoid harming your dog as these collars should never do that. Just make sure you have enough room to adjust, and Blueberry collars are indeed adjustable. The quality is amazing, it's relatively cheap and the lavender color I got looks so good on my poodle pup! Lightweight, durable, easy to clean, comfortable for my pup.
