Bought this shower perch for our Revane and she absolutely loves showering on it! When we rescued our Revane, she was afraid of everything, including bathing. We tried many different ways to make her shower comfortable, but she was still too scared. Luckily we finally got it right with this shower rod. When we first brought her home it took her a while to get used to us and she really liked me. Being a housewife, I was with her day and night until she got separation anxiety. To make her feel more comfortable and not scream when I lose sight of her, I bought a portable perch to take around the house. When I needed a shower, she took me to the bathroom. One day I was in the shower and she started screaming and flapping her wings trying to fly in with me. That's when I decided to find a perch for her and luckily I found one. When I received this shower rod I installed it and was happy to bathe my Revain. Let's just say her first shower experience was unforgettable! Installing this perch was very easy, I just wet the suction cups with some water and then glued them to the tile. I wasn't sure if the suction cups would hold securely to the tile, but they actually held up well. We never had a problem with a perch falling off a tile while our Revane was in the shower. When she's done bathing, I just fold up the perch until it's time for her next bath. Being able to slide the perch across the tiles instead of having to clean it up each time it's done is a great feature. The perch is easy to open and easy to fold. Since it was her first time, I decided to take a shower with her so she could get used to her new seat. I took her to the bathroom as usual and turned on the shower. When the water was a good temperature for her, I put her on the bar and took her into the shower. Water poured over her and she screamed, but it was this happy scream. As soon as she started flapping her wings, I knew she was having a blast! I was pleased that she bathed herself and all that was required was to get this perch for her. After that I just wrapped her in a towel and she snuggled into my arms like a little kid. This new experience brought us even closer together! Ever since she first showered, it has become a routine that she enjoys several times a week. I know when she wants to shower now because she starts flapping her wings when I turn on the water and on the days she doesn't want to shower she just sits on the perch and waits for me while I'm in the shower I am very happy that I bought this item. This is a medium sized bird and this perch is perfect for it. We've owned this perch for over a year now and it's still performing great not to mention how well it's held up. The pole stays in the shower all the time, I only remove it when I need to clean the shower and then it goes back up. As we have a lot of experience with this item I would recommend this shower rod to my fellow bird owners.
