Below are some downsides: 1. The only legs are located on the sidewalls, not the end of the object. The result of this is that the suitcase sustains scratches whenever it is left open on the floor. 2. In general, because the case has a shiny finish, I get the impression that it will become scratched quite soon. 3. The lock is a total and utter failure; it can only be opened with a TSA key, and you are unable to hang your own items because there are no lightning bolts.
