About this stylus: Highly recommended. It works great as soon as you insert the battery and reach your Surface's screen. From there you really can't tell the difference between this and the $99 MS version. It works the same, has an eraser and a right button and the only real difference is that this pen has a pocket clip to hold it on your cover or your keyboard and admittedly a magnet would be better. It could be a patent issue or something. Sure, I'd like a magnet that just sticks to my Surface Pro, but I like $60, which saved me a lot more. Real gadgets can find a thin magnet and crack it, which although I'm not a gadget, I can try. it should last a long time. No, it doesn't have a handy James Bond-style storage compartment for extra quills, but it does come in a cute box for you to slip extra quills into. Take a giant marker and write "NIBS" on it and you're unlikely to accidentally throw it away. Or if you love gadgets. Finally some technology. The response time is very good. It doesn't stay behind. When you write, it comes naturally. All of these types of pens have a slight lag as everything happens as they interact with the screen, processors and software. It's lively, packs a lot of punch when it gets close to the screen. The battery is easy to replace. The buttons are hard to press, but that's not a fault. Here you hold the pen quite naturally, so that the resistance prevents you from accidentally erasing something, for example. Looks good and feels good in the hand. So, I recommend that. Now, a comment on owning a Surface. They're so nifty because you essentially get a premium, full-featured, super-powerful Windows 10 PC that runs and does everything, but has the look, feel, and "cool factor" of an iPad Pro. I have one of these and it's like a windows user it's a cat meow. It's clear that MS set out to outperform Apple, and they did. Apple store. But in doing so, they also copied Apple's insane pricing scheme. Not only is the Apple Surface expensive, but the prices of the accessories are straight out of Apple's book. $160 for a keyboard, $60 for a mouse and, like Apple, $100 for a pen. Ouch! So if you want to be the coolest person ever, sitting at Starbucks 11 hours a day and working on things that matter to you more than everyone else googling your refurbished MacBook, there's only one way to be more obnoxious. Sit at an uncomfortable table/chair nearby and tilt your Surface Pro up. And if you're really savvy, you've got a $30 Super Logi Bluetooth mouse, a $29 sleek carrying case, and this stylus. Baristas will struggle to take turns cleaning your table and admiring your sexy pen. Supermodels walk in and very shyly ask if you could help show them how to get their latest bikini photoshoot site on the internet. That's because not only do you have a Surface, you're smarter than everyone else because you got that $60 for some late-night texting for their friends who just heard the news about you on Instagram. Just don't tell them you don't have gigabit broadband in your apartment (these are sort of limitations if you encounter them and are actually quite embarrassing). That's why I bought this pen and that's exactly what happened to me. Now how!
