Bought to replace a lost Microsoft pen for my husband. He says he prefers the weight/balance on this version to be better than the Microsoft version (although his version was older, they could upgrade), but he said the pen tip on the old version is a bit better was, but not worth the extra cost of buying. name brand. This pen randomly activates the erase or undo function during each drawing, making any work (notes, drawing, etc.) completely functionally impossible. It has to happen and is extremely disruptive. If I needed a simple pen, I would use my own. Do not buy this product if you really plan to use it for anything other than scrolling and typing. You will be very disappointed. Note: I tested the included battery; it was fully functional at 1.6 volts and 0.56 amps.

I bought this pen for my laptop; which can also be used as a tray if required. It took me a minute to figure out if the pen should right click the screen where you want to right click and then press the button on the pen. However, the pen works great. From there you really can't tell the difference between this and the $99 MS version.
