It was easy to add 134a coolant from a 12oz automotive type.

This adapter was used to replace the quick disconnect on a female R134a service hose and convert it to a 1/4" female flare fitting. After installing this adapter it was easy to add 134a refrigerant to my freezer from a 12oz car can via the 1/4" male thread service fitting (which I previously soldered to the compressor).
