This product breaks easily where the strut meets the ground. Mai's daughter goes through 1-2 of these every year. I would like to switch brands if a competitor offers a similar design with stronger materials. Unfortunately, this is the model my daughter prefers, so I'll keep spending until she's done volleyball or another brand comes up with a superior product. If some other brands of laces switched to velcro, I think they would have a lot of new customers. The Volt model is slightly better than the T2 model. The T2 has foam padding that can peel around the edges and be uncomfortable (assuming it doesn't tear at the bottom first). The Volt is lined with fleece and the padding will not peel off.
