Universal ceiling fan remote control kit as listed it fits most Hunter fans. I purchased this remote control and receiver for my Hunter Type 2 (model 21042) February 1998 fan. The fan worked great before installation. During installation I checked the wiring three times. The remote controlled the light correctly, but the fan would not turn on. I checked the wiring again and the fan blades moved slightly and then stopped. Then I heard a "pop" and it turned out that the capacitor in the fan had stopped working and one of the seven pins in the connector had burned out. The only good news was that I was able to find a used capacitor on ebay. I could not find any support links from the company. I hope someone from the seller will contact me.
