I decided a long time ago that I wouldn't spend money on car phone mounts if I could get a mount that would allow me to charge my phone while driving and still have all the features available. I've been using them for years and love them but they seem to get better every year and when I accidentally broke my last one I was looking for a replacement and saw this one and it looked good quality (it is) and charged quickly ( it does) and it works with both my Android phones and my kids' Apple phones. It grabs your phone and holds it securely so I don't have to worry about it falling to the ground if I hit a bump and the clips seem to work with or without power (still confused about that) but the bottom line is that this charger works great, I like it and I give it 5 stars
