It's not the best quality unit when you look at it (the plastic looks very cheap and it doesn't have an auto-off function), but it's the ideal size and shape for a straightener pony. I love that I can get close to my skull and have enough precision to create bangs that follow the curve of my head (instead of bangs that stick out straight). The plates glide smoothly through the hair without snagging. It folds up a bit (the cord is the most bulky and annoying, taking up more space than the iron itself). Heats up very quickly and gets very hot. As I've only used it to straighten my bangs I can't tell if it gets too hot or how it works on a full head of hair. It gets so hot that it takes a while to cool down (so it doesn't go right back into the bag when it comes out to mend).
