Review on πŸ’Ό Spacious L-Shaped Workstation: Ultimate Gaming and Home Office Desk (Black) by Katie Payne

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice desk but bad design. Here are some of the issues I had:

Here are all the issues I had assembling and using this table: Assembly: First, the instructions are literally useless. As far as I remember there is no written guide and pictures don't help at all. The biggest problem was the bookshelf. SO BAD CONSTRUCTION. Literally all it holds in the middle are a couple of screws that are tightened by turning those little plastic retainers 90 degrees. Not to mention the screws coming from the OUTSIDE where they are driven into larger pieces of wood are too big and end up breaking the wood as you screw them in. Essentially, the wood is too dense. So when you put a large screw in a tiny hole, it pushes against the sides with enough force to crack the surface of the wood. The two pieces of plastic in the wood of the table holding the screw have ripped out of the wood. Basically, you shouldn't overtighten the screws that attach the metal frame to the wood, or the plastic bushing will break. It happened twice, I honestly didn't think I screwed her up that hard. Daily Use: The edge of the table is sharp and uncomfortable to put your hands on. The surface for the longer side on mine was curved or something, so where it sits next to the shorter side there's a lip that grabs things. It arrived with a chip in the corner of the shorter side, which is unsurprising given the packaging (not enough padding) and the condition the package arrived in. The metal bar under the table on the side you sit on is about an inch and a half long and won't let you slide the chair in if it has armrests. Great looking table, poorly designed.
