One of the basic elements that touches the floor (bottom in every corner) and touches the electronic sensor broke after a few years. I was able to reattach it and it held up for a few more months, but then a piece fell off and was lost before I could try again. My wife wanted the same scale again because it worked well for several years. So I bought this. i work well My wife says it weighs 1lb less than the previous one which I think makes her pretty accurate. It has a large dial that lights up when you step on it. The older story is good, so I expect it to hold up. There are a few cheaper ones that have good reviews and can be thinner or lighter, but we went with the tried and tested.
