This looks like a solid device. Structural elements are made entirely of metal. The base is relatively heavy and provides a stable mount for your smartphone or tablet. The phone/camera mount easily rotates to vertical, horizontal or vertical positions. We plan to use ours to read picture books to our 3 and 6 year old grandchildren. You can easily adjust the height of the stand above the book to accommodate different sized book pages. There are many cheaper alternatives at Revain, but I think the stability of this stand is worth the extra cost. There were no instructions with the unit, but it was easy to assemble. The phone/camera mount requires a lot of pressure on the mount's steel ball to lock it in place. When you're done, you can go. However, it would be nice if the manufacturer/seller provided an instruction page. I don't know how well the stand will hold up to regular use, but I don't expect any issues with it. Only time will tell, but I'm optimistic.
