I knew there were stones here, but I needed raw Dead Sea salt, so I bothered to sift them. A few hours later and not too many per cup but enough to be bad for your drain. I ended up filling one container with fine and another with coarse. The fine is super soft like perfection. I think the manufacturer should sift it as it doesn't eliminate the benefits of crude salt, just the stones that interfere. The resulting bath water is silky and moisturizing.
