The bag itself is very well made from a very good quality material. It's not leather. To protect against leaks, they provide small plastic bags for the inside, making it airtight. Yes, the bags are good. It is very well made in terms of durability. The bag uses very good magnets to close the bag and it stays closed. The light only comes on when the bag is opened. In terms of space, it's big enough to hold 2 x 12oz soda cans and still close. If you don't close it, it can hold up to 16.9 ounces of water in size 2 bottles. My only negative is that the bag is a bit bigger and there is no light switch to turn off the light in the bag when it's open. You have to remove the battery if you want to turn off or turn off the light. Not a bad bag, although all of these areas may need improvement.
