Not for intended purpose but worked great

I love hummingbirds. I also love to sleep. In winter, hummingbirds must find their feeder and eat within fifteen minutes or they will die, leaving the feeder free to freeze. Some people wake up in the middle of the night to change them, but I love to sleep so I looked for another solution. Enter: This heater is a reptile. We put it on to keep the feeder from freezing and it was a success! It was under a canopy but with the wind, snow and rain the heating did exactly what we wanted!
