Arrived well but not satisfied at all

Killed my iguana in about two days, finally realized it was a lightbulb. He started hiding from the light after the first day, today he came home and found it in the corner of his cage, his eyes didn't open. He's in bad shape. I put his old lightbulb back in and it seems to be getting better. I treat my animals with the utmost care, I feel horrible to let him go through this.

Lamp randomly flickers when it lights up at all

Lamp randomly flickers when it lights up at all. That worked for a good 10 days. One day I thought I forgot to turn on the lamp, so I fumbled for the switch and it was on. However, the light was not on. I turned it off and on again. Nothing. I waited a few hours and tried again. This time it came on briefly, blinked for about an hour and then went off again. He has a mind of his own, which can't do my turtle any good. The constant heat and vitamins from UVA, UVB and heat lamps are vital to my…

Be careful. Keep an eye on your reptile when trying this onion.

I have a turtle that I have had for over 10 years with no problems. I decided to save some money and try this bulb out by comparing it to the $60+ bulbs I see at our local pet stores. My turtle was very ill for several weeks with symptoms leading me to believe it was the source of the light. I had to put it in dry dock for a while. He's mostly recovered now and I'm using a more expensive UVA/UVB lamp that I bought from a pet store specifically for reptiles. He's heating up a lot more often…

Good buy from Heat Lamps

Very well packaged so it arrived safe and sound at a good price and I was glad I took a chance and ordered it. All-in-one lightbulbs are becoming increasingly difficult to find at local pet stores and cost twice as much when I can find them. I know these bulbs can be fickle - some last months, others just the last few weeks - no matter how much/little you pay for them, so it's nice to have an affordable option. I will definitely continue to order from Evergreen. UPDATE: I ordered 4 in total and

Wrong lightbulb for my baby bearded dragon

First the lightbulb came in a nice package and I was very happy to try it out on my baby bearded dragon. I installed a Fluker Sun Dome bulb directly over a branch that was heating up. The bulb itself is very bright and produces a decent amount of heat, which my kite liked. However, after a few days of use, I noticed that my dragon always kept its eyes closed when bathing (see photo 1) and only opened them when I took it into the bath. It went like this for about 10 days. After some research on…

A very happy bearded dragon.

12/2018: Continuation of our original February purchase. Our bearded dragon has been looking a little lethargic lately. Since we felt that the mercury lamp we had been using for 10 months was no longer effective, we decided to replace it as a BD Christmas present. As with the first bulb, he crawled under the light almost immediately and his eyes widened. From now on we replace the light bulb every 6 months. 2/2018: If bearded dragons can love, then our dragon has two loves. One of them is my…

Bought this for me - vitamin D baby! - Update

Buying something like this in the mail seems arbitrary. Judging by the internal elements, it's clearly fragile. Mine has been running since I got it. I've treated mine a little rougher than the manufacturer recommended and it still works. I tested it with my transitional goggles and it emits UV. It's getting a little temperamental so I don't expect it to last much longer but so far so good. Hopefully someone will find a more robust way to generate UVA and UVB soon. What we really need is a lamp

Bad for tortoiseshell eyes

The lamp worked great for about 3 weeks and then stopped working. As I removed the bulb from the socket, I noticed that this rather large piece of ceramic was missing at the top, where you screw it into the socket. Contacted seller for replacement or refund. wait for the answer Update - The seller responded to my message in a timely manner and I have already received a replacement bulb. The piece I was talking about should probably be there, I just didn't notice it at first because it's also in

Great company and so far happy with the product

I've been using 100 watt PowerSun bulbs over my 300 gram turtle pond for about 4 years and swap them out every 6-9 months but decided to keep the 100's try out Watts Evergreen Pear this time. The Evergreen bulb was $20 cheaper, physically larger, and has an almost clear lens compared to the PowerSun's opaque lens. The first bulb had a small problem but the company responded immediately and replaced it within 2 days. This lamp has a more greenish hue in the spot beam just above the heating area…
