The lamp worked great for about 3 weeks and then stopped working. As I removed the bulb from the socket, I noticed that this rather large piece of ceramic was missing at the top, where you screw it into the socket. Contacted seller for replacement or refund. wait for the answer Update - The seller responded to my message in a timely manner and I have already received a replacement bulb. The piece I was talking about should probably be there, I just didn't notice it at first because it's also in the new lightbulb. Everything seems to be working fine so far. Another update: unfortunately this lightbulb hurt my little turtle's eyes a lot and she got really sick. I stopped using as soon as I realized she was fed up with the lightbulb. Within 2 days of stopping use, she had completely returned to her normal, healthy self. I contacted Amazon and they gave me a full refund and told me not to return the bulb. It may be perfectly normal for some reptiles, but I will never use it again.
